About the Federation

Mission Statement

To serve philanthropic, social, cultural, and educational needs in the Jewish community in Lane County, Israel, and Jewish communities worldwide.

Governing Board

Legal Status

The Federation is incorporated as a nonprofit corporation according to the laws of Oregon. Contributions and donations are tax deductible. Federal Tax ID #94-3134118

History

Originally founded in 1992, the Jewish Federation of Lane County was formed to primarily raise funds for Jews in Israel. Over the years, it has continued to support Jews in Israel, but has broadened its scope to include services to local Jews. The funding of Jewish Family Services allows us to provide emergency services, aid to the elderly, and social activities for local Jews.

There are many ways you can help the Federation. Click for the Call for Volunteers sign up form. Word.doc or PDF. You can mail in the completed form, drop it off at the Federation office or attach the document to an e-mail and send it to the Federation.
