History and Purpose
The Jewish Federation of Lane County was established in 1990 by a group of interested and dedicated community members to provide leadership and direction to preserve and enrich the quality of Jewish life and community. The Federation strives to develop a broad sense of unity around common purpose and action.
Mission Statement
To serve philanthropic, social, cultural, and educational needs in the Jewish community in Lane County, Israel, and Jewish communities worldwide.
Legal Status
The Federation is incorporated as a nonprofit corporation
according to the laws of Oregon. Contributions
and donations are tax deductible.
Membership
Although there is no official membership, the Federation's governing board is ultimately accountable to its contributing community members.
